The body measurement below, have been revised and compiled in accordance With those used in the ready-to wear trade
DRAFT OF FITTED BODICE FOUNDATION: Draft the fitted bodice front and back according to the measurements above, use the step-by-step directions given in the (draft of fitted bodice- misses 12-20) but make the changes on the front draft as follows:
B to J – Equals half of B to E, plus 1/2″.
J to O – Locate point O, 2” below point J
Increase the width of front and dart at waistline as follows:
L to S – Same distance as L to M on back draft
R to T – Same distance as L to S on front draft

Make the side dart as follows:
Draw side dart line from P to U; then slash from U to P
and from T to P, and spread 1” at side seam by pivoting at point P, as shown in diagram 2.

Draw v-shaped lines for each dart, having the points of each dart, 1” away from the pivoting point P for size 8; 1-1/4”, for 10 and 12; 1-1/2”, for 14 and 16, as shown.
