Patons Diploma Gold DK:1[1:2:2]x50g ball each in MS for hat and in C for ribbing
1x50g ball in extra colour for contrasting pompom (optional)
Pair each of 3-1/4 MM (US) and 4MM (US 6) knitting needles

22 stitches and 30 rows to 10cm (4in) over stocking stitch using 4MM (US6) Needles
